How did Comb Grown Hair Food begin?
My name is Melissa Hornsby. I am an environmental scientist, wife, and mom of two, with a passion to find all natural healthy solutions for hair and skin problems. Prior to 2012, I saw no real solutions.
I have several food allergies and some of those allergies turned into skin problems because they were not controlled. To stop this, I researched and tried many commercial products and if I found one worth mentioning...(and trust me, I've tried numerous brands and products over the years) it was either too expensive or contained unnecessary and harsh ingredients that would eventually give me or my family an allergic reaction. As a result, I began researching natural alternatives.

In 2013, my husband noticed that his hair was thinning in the top of his head and he was really concerned that it was worsening. So, with my researching journey already under way and having found some solutions to my skin issues, it became my mission to create the solution for him.
After years of developing and testing many blends to find one that worked, the perfect all natural healthy product was created. Results were seen within a few months of use! My husband's hair was growing and looking healthy again - He was thrilled...and so was I.
As word got out and people started seeing the difference themselves, the need for more and more Comb Grown Hair Food was essential!
In 2016, CG Products was born. The days of not being able to find good, high-quality, natural-based hair products were no more!
After five years of consistently selling out our products, we believe Comb Grown Hair Food is a true representation of an "all-natural" nourishing product for the hair and scalp. It's beyond rewarding and humbling to see that a homemade remedy for a few, has become a popular solution for many.
